Writing Residency at The Causley Trust in Cornwall
Time & Location
About the Event
Living for three months in Cyprus Well, the house of great Cornish poet Charles Causley, I worked on a first collection manuscript and invited the local community to engage with poetry and writing through a wide range of activities. To see what I have been up to, you can read my three blogs on the Charles Causley Trust's website: "What's going on in Cyprus Well?", "Is writing a real job?", and "21 things I have learnt while being in residence at Cyprus Well". You can also take a look at some of the activities that happened, for instance a poetry slam, and a Christmas card workshop! You can follow the Charles Causley Trust on Facebook or Twitter for more.
We also had wonderful coverage in the local newspapers, the Cornish and Devon Post - many thanks again to Rosie Cripps and Paul Hamlyn! You can read their articles online about my arrival in Launceston, the poetry slam, our Halloween poetry party, and a very special evening to remember the life and work of Charles Causley.
Thank you very much again to the people of Launceston and Cornwall for their warm welcome!
